§ 16-57. Display of identification on trucks and related commercial vehicles.

  • It shall be unlawful to operate, park, use or maintain upon any public street or highway in the city any truck or related commercial vehicle unless such vehicle is designated by lettering and figures of 2 inches minimum size on either side thereof indicating the name and address of the person owning or operating the same for a commercial use or purpose. In this regard, this section shall apply to any truck tractors, van trucks, pickup trucks and sedan panel trucks, and any related commercial vehicle designed, used or maintained primarily for the transportation of property rather than persons. Any person who violates this section shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of an offense and shall be punished according to the provisions of section 1-16.
