§ 2-69. Nominations by city employees.

  • The city clerk shall call a meeting of all of the permanent employees of the city for the purpose of receiving nominations for election to the civil service board. The employees attending such meeting shall nominate as many persons, qualified as herein provided, for each board membership to be voted upon. Thereafter the city clerk shall proceed to call for election of board members as hereinafter provided. If only 1 person is nominated at such meeting, that person shall be deemed elected without further proceedings.
